Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try SCUBA diving but aren’t quite ready to commit to the PADI Open Water Diver certification course, the PADI Discover SCUBA Diving program is for you.
You’ll begin in the swimming pool before jumping onboard one of our custom-built dive boats, where we’ll introduce you to the wonders that lie beneath the surface in the Chumphon Marine Park. This is not a certification course, so you won’t get a license, but you will learn about the next steps to continue and get certified as a PADI diver. So if you like it and want to carry on, we can make that happen!
No prior experience is required to sign up for a PADI Discover SCUBA Diving experience, but you do need to be in reasonable physical health.
Please note that:
-
Participants must be at least 10 years old
-
You will be required to fill in a PADI medical form before any in-water activities. Some
-
pre-existing conditions require a medical sign off from a dive physician. If in doubt, please contact us with any medical questions prior to booking.
Your experienced PADI Instructor will guide you through the basic safety guidelines in a short academic session. Then it’s time to head to the pool, where you’ll take your first breaths underwater and learn a few basic skills to help you feel safe and comfortable. After a short break, you’ll head out to sea to explore one of our spectacular dive sites.
We provide a complete set of basic SCUBA gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), dive gauges, and a tank. Your instructor will set up your gear for you, show you how it all works, and help you in and out of your equipment.
Contact us today to sign up for your PADI Discover SCUBA Diving experience at Sensui Dive Resort. The program comes with a PADI participant Crew-Pak which includes a short study guide (you’ll complete this with your instructor) and a certificate of completion. After your day of underwater exploring, we’ll guide you through your options for what’s next and how you can continue diving with us and become part of the SCUBA worldwide SCUBA community.
